  • Gordon retired after more than 30 years of teaching and enjoying his retirement. He traveled to China in the fall and took some great photos of all the sights he visited.
  • Laura Ann and Christopher had a healthy baby boy in xxx. Sharon and Melvin are enjoying taking care of him on the weekdays and watching how quickly he has grown.
  • We heard the sad news that Alan passed away. His family appreciated having the time with him since his last stroke and all the support and caring they felt from us.
  • Ronnie and Norma were happy to let us know that they had a healthy baby boy in XX
  • 3/07 Melanie let us know that Uncle Flit passed away on 3/26 at the age of 89. He had not been feeling well for the preceding month and then things progressed rapidly. There was no service, but Melanie, Steve and Philip might appreciate us contacting them and sending them our support and condolences. Their contact info is on the Contact List
  • 3/07 Some pics from Gordon of their visit with the Chus can be found here
  • 1/07 From Gordon: Curtis and Carol came to town on Saturday... I had my parents, Mel and Sharon come over for a ham dinner. The next morning, I took Curt and Carol to Mount Vernon and Arlington Cemetery before heading over to Mel's for Christmas Eve dinner. All of the kids as well as Laura Ann's in-laws were there. Some of us went to the midnight services at Sharon's church efore dring back to Waldorf. Christmas Day we were on the road once again. Sharon and Mel had everyone over for roast beef and turkey. When Curt and Carol left for the Poconos Wednesday morning, I went up to Long Island. It was fun catching up with friends from as far back as elementary school. I drove back for New Year's Eve. All is well. School is keeping me busy. One hundred classroom days left before retirement. We're still enjoying unseasonably warm winter weather
  • 11/06 Ronnie Wong was married to Norma on 11/4/2006. They are doing well and send their love to the family. Their current contact info is in the contact list and pictures are here
  • 11/06: Update from Gordon:The doctors gave Alan permission to make the trip to the Poconos. JoAnn did all of the driving, arriving last night around 10PM. Alan has to check in with a doctor during the next two days to have them test his blood (he's on a blood thinner). Aunt Edna, Uncle Joe, Jolene, Toot and Tony are also staying at the house they rented for the week. The doctors didn't know why he had the stroke,,,it can happen again which is one reason why they don't want him to drive anytime soon. He is up and walking around, he is able to talk... and the confusion/disorientation he initially experienced has gone away. They were lucky that the trooper found the car off the side of the road and that Alan was admitted to the hospital shortly after the episode occurred.

Thanksgiving dinner is at Melvin and Sharon's. I may be driving my parents up to the Philadelphia area on Friday so they can have lunch with Aunt Edna and Uncle Joe. They have a side trip planned to Longwood Gardens in Kennebec Square (it's a famous botanical garden). We hope to meet them there.

It's nice to hear that Emma is enjoying her first year in highschool. With Thomas, Sonya, and Emma all participating in afterschool sports
and activities, the minivan and the chauffeur are keeping busy. It sounds like Alexander is enjoying his marine biological studies in
Florida... I know you'll enjoy every minute of his four day weekend in New Jersey. I hope Kyle's football season went well... I guess it's on to
basketball...I'm sure he is the school's scholar athlete of the year. Amanda and Carly will have lots to talk about when their brothers come home
    from college.

This is my 30th and final year as a Maryland teacher. I plan to leave the profession when the school year ends in June. I'll be in Stamford,Ct second weekend in August for a formal wedding... Barbara and Barry's oldest son is getting married to a girl he met while both were in the Harvard MBA program. I have tentative plans to travel to China in Sept or Oct. The trip after that would be to Egypt
